Real-time voice translation for Zendesk.
Taiwa translates live calls inside Zendesk — what your customer says and what your agent says — without changing your routing or your reporting.
Bring your own DeepL, OpenAI or Gemini key. Every account starts with 60 minutes free.
Inside Zendesk, in both directions.
Taiwa runs in the call console inside Zendesk, on both Zendesk Talk/Voice and Zendesk for Contact Centre. Both call legs are translated: the customer hears your agent in their language, your agent hears the customer in theirs.
On Zendesk it does one thing it can't do anywhere else — it reads the ticket's language field when you turn that on, so the customer's language comes from the ticket rather than being guessed from the first thing they say.
Nothing about your Zendesk setup changes. Your triggers, routing, SLAs and reporting stay exactly as they are. Taiwa sits on top of the call, not in front of it.
How it works on Zendesk
- 1
The call arrives in Zendesk as it does now — Taiwa doesn't touch your routing.
- 2
The extension reads both sides of the call in the agent's browser. Nothing is uploaded to us.
- 3
Audio streams to your translation supplier over an encrypted connection and comes back translated — with the transcript.
37 languages, any pair
Not only to and from English. Set the agent's language and the customer's separately, and both sides of the call are translated.
The languages →Two suppliers, two invoices
You bring your own key — DeepL, OpenAI or Google Gemini — and that supplier bills you for the translation. We charge £2 per active user a month, £150 minimum, with no minute charges from us. An active user is someone who actually translated something that month. Every account starts with 60 minutes free on our key.

- Does Taiwa work with both Zendesk Talk and Zendesk Contact Centre?
- Yes — both. Taiwa runs in the call console on Zendesk Talk/Voice and on Zendesk for Contact Centre, and translates both call legs.
- Do I need to change my Zendesk routing or triggers?
- No. Taiwa runs on top of the call. Your routing, triggers, SLAs and reporting are untouched — nothing is migrated.
- Can Taiwa use the ticket's language field?
- Yes, when you enable it. Taiwa reads the ticket's language field so the customer's language comes from the ticket rather than being detected from speech.
- Which languages does Taiwa translate?
- 37 languages — among them English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Swedish, Arabic, Hindi and Turkish — in any pair, not only to and from English. That is the DeepL Voice list. On an OpenAI or Gemini key, that supplier's own list applies.
- What does it cost?
- Two bills. You bring your own key from DeepL, OpenAI or Google Gemini, and that supplier charges you for the translation — on DeepL, roughly €6 an hour of call on a committed agreement. We charge £2 per active user a month, £150 minimum, for the platform, with no minute charges. Every new account starts with 60 minutes free on our own key so you can try it before either contract exists.
- Is the translation accurate?
- The translation comes from the engine you choose — DeepL, OpenAI or Google Gemini. We don't reproduce any supplier's accuracy figures here — the honest test is to try it on your own calls, in your languages. Taiwa is not a substitute for a certified human interpreter, and it is not for regulated calls (medical, legal, safeguarding or financial advice).
Try it on your own Zendesk calls.
